There are so many angles. First, I would like to point out that it was a Democratic President who left a huge surplus which was turned into the biggest deficit this country has ever known by a Republican President. This Republican President not only committed billions of dollars to two wars, but also supported amendment of securities laws that spawned a global economic downturn. It seems to me that our government continues to ask the ones with the least amount of income and influence to tighten their belts while offering tax breaks to the wealthiest. For example, just yesterday the US Congress passed legislation to relax estate taxes that will benefit 1% of the population who just happens to have over 85% of this country's wealth. Yet Congress is proposing cuts to education and children: ....http://www.aradvocates.org/slashing-student-aid-head-start-just-the-beginning-of-u-s-house-budget-proposal/?stage=Live While I have always practiced personal financial responsibility, I have trouble identifying with the Republican rationale in their choices on allocation of money. Bail outs? Not for the average person who has lost their job. I was sure I'd get another soon...now I am part of the three percent of the population that the government isn't even counting in their polls- the ones that have been unemployed so long that everyone figures they will never get a job. <br />I'll beat them though- I will work again! But for now I do have to stay home, not spend recklessly or unwisely. I have to really need it to buy it, and we don't use credit except for diesel. I am going to go to the horse show though- I didn't go last year , but I've been scrimping and saving and selling stuff so I could go. I think that this 'fatique' you speak of is a god send- we all need to take a giant jump backwards and get ourselves undercontrol- rather than waiting in vain for a bail out!Vaquerogirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14367676563270560606noreply@blogger.com
